DAY 3. Cuzco - Km. 82 -
Huayllabamba
Pick up from your hotel at 7.00 to 7.30 in our private bus
and then move towards Piskacucho (2700 meters) community
known as the Km. 82 where the road passes Railway train from
Cuzco to Machu Picchu. Starting from this point our walk
cross the bridge and walk along the left bank of the
Urubamba river that flows northeast of the Sacred Valley.
After passing through a flat ternazas reach Miskay (2800
meters) and then move up and finally see the Inca City of
Patallacta (2750 meters) then continue our walk along the
river valley created by the Kusichaca, rising gradually to
reach Wayllabamba our first camp (3000 meters) where we will
see the most spectacular views of the singing of the
Vilcanota River, on the opposite side of the river Urubamba
can see the impressive snowy Veronica (5832 meters) where it
can not be calculated diversity flora and fauna that can be
found in the area.
DAY 4: Huayllabamba - Warmiwañusca
- Pacaymayu
This day we will rise to approximately 6.00, after enjoying
breakfast begin our hike the most difficult of the day, the
walk consists of a precipitous rise and close (9 miles).
Throughout this rise will change the landscape of mountains
to puna (an area high and dry with little vegetation). At
the time we arrived at the first rose from the mountain
known as Abra de Warmihuañusca (passage of the dead woman)
we can see that domestic llamas and alpacas graze in ichu,
one of the few plants that grow at that altitude. Also
crossing by a forest area inhabited by different kinds of
animals such as sparrows and the Andean bear or bear
Spectacled. We advise that on this day carries candies,
chocolates and coca so that they maintain the high level of
sugar for contrarestar altitude. Immediately after the
passage descend into the valley Pacaymayu (3600 meters)
where camp after 6-hour excursion.
DAY 5: Pacaymayu - Chaqicocha -
Wiñayhuayna
This is the day most interesting and impressive of our walk,
because of the number of archaeological sites to visit and
get more information from our guide. From Pacaymayu climb to
the second step of the Open Runkurakay (3970 meters). At
mid-morning visit the archaeological complex of the same
name, this site is located at 3800 meters, consists of a
small oval structure that was created for having responded
the purpose of a watchtower. After the passage descend
toward Yanacocha (black lagoon) and we'll go into the
cloud-forest to finally arrive at Sayacmarca (3624 meters).
This is a complex Hermoza made a semi-circular building with
various levels of narrow streets, liturgical sources,
courtyards and irrigation canals. Following a rise easily
reach the third step of the Open Phuyupatamarca (3700
meters). Throughout our hike we can appreciate the magnitude
of the ancient art of the Incas and see rocks filling the
gullies in perfect order. We will continue our walk and then
go through a tunnel and reach the Inca step already
mentioned. This is one of the most complex archaeological
complete and best preserved that is at the highest point on
the mountain. Phuyupatamarca means "The cloud over the city"
where we can observe a sophisticated and complex composed of
water sources with solid foundations and with breathtaking
views of the river Urubamaba in the course of which continue
to climb towards Wiñayhuayna (2700 meters). This site will
find a country house with a restaurant, bar and rooms with
bathrooms and hot showers. Five minutes from the campsite is
the archaeological complex of Wiñayhuayna composed of an
agricultural center with numerous religious and urban
terraces.
DAY 6: Wiñayhuayna - Machu Picchu -
Aguas Calientes
This day we will rise to 4.00 in the morning to leave
Winayhuayna on time or Intipunhu ascend toward the Puerta
del Sol. The trip will take approximately one hour, and then
walk on the flat stones that are on the verge of the cliffs
of the mountains where we can see the sunrise over the city
of Machu Picchu. From Intipunku descend toward reaching
Machu Picchu in 40 minutes and then address the control
point where we can save our belongings, we went immediately
to the Inca City where we will have a guided approximately
two hours. Then you will have a free time to walk around the
citadel or climb the mountain Huaynapicchu where one can
experience spectacular views of valleys and mountains
surrounding the citadel of Machu Picchu or visit the Temple
of the Moon and the fabled Inca bridge . In the afternoon
toward the Baja town of Aguas Calientes where you can visit
the thermal baths and to relax after having walked for 4
days.
DAY 7: Aguas Calientes - Cusco
Free day to perform different activities like climbing a
mountain Putukusi. In the afternoon return to Cusco. Arrive
to Cusco at night. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

private Km. 82 (Place of beginning of the walk)

conveniently located 10 minutes walk of the People. The
towels you can get in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 8: Sacred Valley
This day we will go to the Sacred Valley of the Inca, visit:
Pisac ruins, the Andean craft market and the Church. After
passing through Lamay and Calca arrived at Urubamba where
there will be a stop for lunch.
Continuing this journey to Ollantaytambo where you see the
people, their typical streets and visit the impressive
archaeological group, its terraces and enjoy the spectacular
view it offers us the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Return by
visiting the village of Chinchero, rich in culture and
archaeology.
